The challenge

The main challenge with the product I designed is that we turn a long physical experience into a digital one. To date, job search would have started online, but amounted to interviews, phone calls and more. The thing we had to crack is how we teach employers to trust candidates they have not seen before, and how we teach employees that it is so easy, maybe even too easy, to find a job.

The research

The users

How do they search for job?

One of the first things we tried to understand was - what is important to our users when looking for work today? Priorities change in people at different stages in life. With our target audience, we realized that the things that are most important to them are flexibility, and a good atmosphere at work. These things will affect the way we design the interface.

Market research

We examined all the ways in which young workers are looking for work. We have seen that in addition to using job-specific products (which are our direct competitors), there is widespread use of social networks. So we tried to figure out what works so well there.

User flow

The MVP includes 2 systems - an app for employees, and a web platform for employers

In creating the user flow, I referred to the full circle from the moment the job was created by the employer, the employee's job request, and the employee's rating by the employer at the end of the job.The color distribution helped us understand what parts the user sees in UI, what is sent in the email, and what happens in the backend.

Rating employees

For creating community of workers that can be trusted

This feature is very important for the app, as trust in employees is the heart of the product, and can be easily created by the wisdom of the masses

What have I learned?

Absorption confirmation

When teaching users an experience that is new to them, it is important to hold on to things they are familiar with, and constantly make an "absorption confirmation"

Communication with dev

I learned that I must be in constant communication with the development team. With every new feature I want to design, I must understand the developmental significance and whether it meets the schedules and budget

Shouldn’t hold on definition

In the current project I was a characterist, designer, copywriter, and illustrator. In some things I have no specialization, but because the budget could not bring in professionals, and the product was important to me, I pushed the limits of the designer that I am, and it was worth it.
